Hi!
Here's an article on the use of paid forum posters and I quote:
So here are three (3) possible uses for hired posters:
1. Kick-start a forum into life
This is the first and foremost use of paid forum posters, breathe some life into a new community. This is a bit tricky though as it has to be synchronized with our internet marketing efforts. Bring the hired posters too soon (before the traffic arrives) and an empty forum will still greet visitors. Bring them in too late (after the traffic has arrived) and the discussion will already be stale. Nobody really likes replying to month-old topics. The key is planning properly before launching an online community.
2. We need experts on certain topics
Message boards have niches (ours should have one, otherwise it’s going to be as cold as a night in the middle of winter in there) and we need a large part of our content covering that nook. Most regular members head for the general off-topic sections as that is where the fun usually is. In order to balance the content, we can bring in people who will fill-up the niche-relevant sections with appropriate content.
3. Resuscitate a dying forum
Profiling forum members is part of the fun in running an online community. Most often, they will be active for a month or two and then peter out into silence. Some events (like a contest) together with a gentle reminder can usually bring them back in. Hired posters can provide fresh topics that will warm-up the forum prior to their arrival. In addition, they will also get the visitors interested.
Now, we are faced on who to choose out of the many forum posting companies to serve our needs. Almost everyone of them have testimonials and we should base our decisions the least on those because, if we observe closely, most are anonymous. We should instead check out their forums to see if their writers will fit the bill, then try out their entry-level package.
Like always, we would like to emphasize that paid forum posters must not be used on a regular basis because if they are the only ones that gives our online community some semblance of activity then it is beyond redemption. There are better uses for our domains than be a black hole for our hard-earned money.
