They offer 300 GBs of monthly transfer for $7 a month.  I can't see how they would stay in business with an offer like that.  And, I don't see how the servers would not be over sold and over stressed.  I can't imagine using more than 5 GBs a month for a forum based website.  This website here only uses 1/2 GB a month currently.

If you do go with a cheap host and your forum has any content that's worth saving, back it up often.  This is very easy to do with cpanel.

hey everyone,

i found it funny the way that unlike most forums, your signature control panel section says that phpbb code is used but doesn't have a link to explain it. i guess we're all so familiar with it that we should know it by now *lol

good luck to any phpbb newbies who find their way here though

btw do you ever fear that this entire website can be considered as spam? maybe it will be blacklisted? worried? or are you safe?

not my forum, but a friend of mine is a mod there, and i've been a member for a while. it really is a great community and something you can trust - and offers hosting and .com domain names for free (for posting): http://www.hostbidder.com/

One web host I like for hosting PHPBB or Invision Power Board forums is Accuburst at accuburst.com.   They may not be the cheapest host, but the uptime is great and the suppost is excellent.  Where do you host your forum and how do you like the support there?
